Benson Students pitched in to clean up the community on Earth Day. In teams, students were assigned a neighbourhood area and worked together to pick up garbage and beautify the area. Take a look at the slideshow below to see 1C and 1M cleaning up the yard. Way to go Bobcats!

The Book Fair is Coming!
Due to popular demand, the Scholastic Book Fair is coming back to Benson School! Please visit the Benson Library May 6 - 11 to purchase up some great books!
We invite you to share in this celebration of books and reading with us.
Students will visit the Book Fair during class time and can purchase books during that visit. If you are unable to visit the Fair, look over the attached Highlights flyer with your child and use the Student Wish List form to select books. Then, simply send it and the correct amount of money to school with your child.
Don’t forget to enter our Family Event Draw. You could win $50 in books – $25 for your family and $25 for your child’s classroom!
We hope to see you at the Book Fair.

Pink Shirt Campaign to Raise Anti-Bullying Awareness
Benson Bobcats were 'in the pink' on Wednesday as they supported the anti-bullying Pink Shirt Day campaign. Students from JK - Grade 8 donned pink clothing and participated in anti-bullying activities throughout the day. Thanks to Mr. Cutting and the Safe School Committee for leading Benson students in awareness of this event.
